Corruption was taken to next level by Trinamool Congress: Amit Shah

Kolkata/IBNS: Cornering the Trinamool Congress in poll-bound West Bengal, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday said corruption was taken to the next level by the ruling party.

Shah said at a rally in Ranibandh, "The people of Bengal had replaced the Communist regime with Trinamool Congress hoping it will change the situation and bring an end to their problems."

"They hoped that political violence would stop. But it didn't happen! Corruption was taken to the next level by the Trinamool Congress. If you form the BJP govt in WB, you will not be troubled by corruption and syndicate!"

Taking a dig at West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's claim that she was attacked in Nandigram, Shah said, "Recently, Mamata didi has been injured. Trinamool Congress workers are saying it is part of some conspiracy. However, the Election Commission says it was just an accident!"

"I want to ask Didi, who is injured and is going around in a wheelchair, does she know about the pain of the 130 mothers who have lost their children due to political violence?"

Shah, a tall BJP leader and a gamechanger for his saffron party, on Sunday once again reiterated that the BJP will win over 200 seats in the upcoming polls, dashing Mamata's hope to return to power.

Under Shah, the BJP has swept all major regions of the country and West Bengal is undoubtedly the last frontier to be conquered leaving aside south India.
