Coronavirus cases in Karnataka swell to 1056

Bengaluru/UNI: With detection of 24 more fresh cases of the COVID-19 virus infection, including 13 from Mandya district, the total number of persons contracted for the disease, in Karnataka surged to 1056 on Friday.

According to official sources, the death toll due to the pandemic also rose to 36 as a 52-year-old resident of Bidar, who was tested positive recently, succumbed to the disease earlier in the day.

According to official sources, fresh cases of COVID-19 were reported from Bidar (4), Hassan (4) and Kalaburagi (3) on Friday afternoon.
