Chhattisgarh: Maoists kill 13 in twin attack

Bijapur, Apr 12 (IBNS): At least 13 people, including eight civilians, were allegedly killed in a twin attack by Maoists in Chhattisgarh on Saturday.

In the first attack, Maoists attacked and blew up a bus as it was crossing a bridge in Bijapur. There were 12 passengers in the bus, including some poll officials. At least seven people lost their lives in the attack. However, the poll officials were rescued by security personnel and have reportedly been moved to safety.

In the second attack, Maoists blasted a government ambulance at Darbha Gahti in Sukma district.

At least five Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel and the ambulance driver were killed on the spot.
