Caste Tension: Security for the victim's family in Hathras village to be deployed permanently

Hathras/UNI: Uttar Pradesh DGP H C Awasthi and additional chief secretary,home , Awanish Awasthi has assured the victim's family of justice to them in the case of the killing of their daughter and announced that the security to the family as well as in the village would continue due to the prevailing caste tension.

Both the DGP and the ACS, Home met the family members of the victim, and heared the grievances of the nine members of the family for around 40 minutes on Saturday.

Later talking to mediapersons, ACS Home, Mr Awasthi said government was committed to provide all security to the victim's family.

Expressing that caste tension has erupted in the area after the incident and the people representatives have been asked to hold a meeting of the people to sort out the issue.

When asked about action against other officials including the District Magistrate, the DGP and ACS Home made it clear that 5 policemen including the SP was suspended on the first preliminary report of the SIT." You should wait for the next report when more officials would be punished," he said.

Both the officials made it clear that the government has clear vision on the matter and none of the guilty would be spared while all the complaints of the victim's family would be sorted out.

" I have directed the DIG to deploy security permanently in the village along with security to the family members of the victim," the DGP said.

The officers made it clear that during their talks with the family members they had no discussion about the Narco test.
