BSF seizes 2.8 kg gold

Kolkata, April 12 (IBNS): The Border Security Force (BSF) under aegis of South Bengal Frontiers on Saturday nabbed two smugglers from West Bengal , carrying approximately 2.8 kg gold worth 82 lakhs.

"On specific information at about 1000 hrs one Bangladeshi  nation Md.Kammaluddin 45 yrs s/o Md Motiur Rehman of Village-Beanpole Dist-Jessore, Bangladesh was apprehended by the troops of 40 BN BSF from the area of (BOP) Border Out Post Petrapole with  6 gold Biscuits approx 700 grams from his possession," the BSF said in a statement on Saturday.

It said: "Acting upon the another specific information at about 1215 hrs troops of 152 BN of BOP Tarali apprehended one Indian nation Namely of  Saddam Sardar 22 Yrs s/o Kuddus Sardar of Vill Uttar para Tarali, PS Swaroop Nagar along with 15 gold Biscuits Approx 1.7 Kg from his possession."

The BSF said: " In another incidents troops of 1 Bn BSF of BOP Madhopur under Nadia Dist seized 2 gold Bars weighing approx 475 grams at about 1245 hrs while it was thrown from Bangladesh side to India side over the Border Fencing."
