Kolkata/IBNS: Former Bengal minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC)-turned-BJP leader Rajib Banerjee on Friday met TMC's All India General Secretary, Abhishek Banerjee, triggering the speculations of his 'ghar wapsi', sources said.

According to sources in the TMC, Rajib Banerjee, who had unsuccessfully contested on BJP's ticket from Domjur seat in the recent West Bengal assembly polls, visited Abhishek Banerjee's office in Kolkata's Camac Street on Friday evening and they reportedly held 'serious' talks for nearly 30 minutes.

Neither Rajib Banerjee nor the TMC leaders commented on Friday's 'serious meeting' between the two Banerjees.

Since losing the election, TMC turncoat Rajib Banerjee has been maintaining a distance from the BJP and he had earlier met TMC state secretary Kunal Ghosh on June 12 and state minister Partha Chatterjee June 13.

Though Rajib claimed that his meeting with Kunal Ghosh was just a 'courtesy call' while he had visited Partha Chatterjee's residence to offer condolences on his mother's death, and held no political discussions with both the leaders.
