Assist farmers' families involved in ongoing agitation: SAD chief to party workers

| @indiablooms | Dec 17, 2020, at 01:21 am

Chandigarh/UNI: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) President Sukhbir Singh Badal has appealed to the party rank and file to actively assist the families of farmers engaged in the ongoing agitation at the Delhi border.

Badal said party workers should help these families in their agricultural activities and give a helping hand in looking after their milch animals.

The SAD President made this appeal after a meeting of the senior leadership of the party during which it was pointed out that the wheat crop was due for irrigation as well as the application of fertiliser.

Badal requested the entire rank and file of the party to assist farmers who are unable to tend to their fields because they were engaged in the dharnas at the Delhi border.

He has asked party District Presidents, Circle Jathedars as well as ‘halqa sewadars’ to reach out to farmers who need any help in this regard.

He also requested farmers' families to reach out to SAD functionaries or workers for any help needed during this crucial juncture.
