Arvind Kejriwal is habitual liar, failed Delhi during Covid crisis: UP Minister

Lucknow/UNI: Making a mockery of his announcement to seek re-entry into the Uttar Pradesh politics, the Yogi Adityanath government on Tuesday came down heavily on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, calling him a 'habitual liar,' whose 'inefficient administration skills were exposed thoroughly during the COVID-19 crisis.'

Addressing the mediapersons here, UP Minister and Spokesperson Sidharth Nath Singh said, "The person who had been summarily rejected by the people of this state before, has little gumption to justify his claim of good governance, which has been an abject failure when it was required the most."

"It was hard to imagine how he turned out the helpless people of UP, Bihar and Jharkhand from Delhi during the trying times of Novel Coronavirus," he added.

According to the BJP leader, "The Yogi government received them, provided them free ration, gave them sustenance allowance and also got them tested for Coronavirus for free."

He said, "It is most surprising that the Delhi CM has something to comment on the UP government, despite failing the expectations of people of Delhi on more than one occasion."

"UP has done more than two crore Covid tests against 72 lakh of Delhi. The national capital has a population of two crore, while UP has a population of about 24 crore. The number of total cases in Delhi is 6.08 lakh and in UP, the figure is 5.66 lakh," Singh noted.

'We are conducting over 1.75 lakh tests daily,' he added, further ridiculing the Delhi government for the adverse observation of the Delhi High Court about poor handling of Coronavirus crisis.
