Arunachal Padesh extends 'lockdown' till Apr 30

Itanagar/UNI: The Arunachal Pradesh Government on Monday decided to extend the period of 'lockdown' in the state till April 30, in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic.

"The Arunachal Pradesh Cabinet has decided that lockdown period in the state will continue till April 30," Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar said.

Kumar said that the decision to extend the lockdown was taken by the Cabinet, after obtaining inputs from various stakeholders including political parties, community-based organisations (CBOs).

The overall consensus emerged that 'lockdown' should be extended further.
