Amit Shah greets Arunachal, Mizoram on Statehood day, to attend function at Itanagar

Itanagar/UNI/IBNS: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday greeted the people of Arunachal Pradesh on the occasion of 34th Statehood day.

Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Shah wrote, "Greetings to the people of Arunachal Pradesh on their 34th Statehood Day. The land of the dawn-lit mountains has a rich cultural heritage and is blessed with spectacular natural beauty. I pray for the continued progress of the state under the leadership of CM Pema Khandu."

The Home Minister will visit Arunachal Pradesh today to attend the Statehood day function at IG Park here.

On this day in 1987, Arunachal Pradesh became a full-fledged state.

Shah also greeted the people of Mizoram on its Statehood day.

He tweeted, "Extend my warm wishes to the brothers and sisters of Mizoram on their Statehood day. The state of Mizoram is well known for their vibrant culture and hospitable nature. I pray for the growth and all-round developmental of the state. "
