Mumbai/IBNS: Ahead of the swearing-in ceremony of Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray as the Maharashtra Chief Minister, the Maha Vikas Aghadi on Thursday came out with a common minimum agenda, media reports said.

In the common agenda, stress has been given on upholding secular values while Sena, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and Congress- the parties of disparate ideologies- have come together to form the government.

Improvement of roads in urban areas, reservation of jobs for local youth, education loans at zero per cent interest rate for students coming from economically weaker sections, a revised crop insaurance, health insurance cover for all people of Maharashtra are some of the key points mentioned in the common agenda.

Uddhav is going to be the first person from the Thackeray family to become the Chief Minister.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, Congress leaders Kapil Sibal and Mallikarjun Kharge are likely to attend the oath-taking ceremony, media reports said.

Uddhav spoke to Prime Minister Narendra Modi over phone and invited him to the event.

Shiv Sena leader Aditya Thackeray on Wednesday night met Congress president Sonia Gandhi and former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and invited them for the ceremony.
