AAP MLA gets bail in Quran sacrilege case
Sangrur/Chandigarh, Jul 30 (IBNS): Aam Aadmi Party MLA Naresh Yadav was granted bail on Saturday by a court in Sangrur (Punjab) in the alleged Quran desecration case, according to media reports.
The Punjab Police arrested Naresh Yadav from Delhi almost a week ago on charges of Quran sacrilege in Punjab's Muslim-dominated town of Malerekotla after key accused Vijay Singh said he was paid Rs 1 crore by Yadav to burn the Quran, media reported.
His bail plea was earlier dismissed on Thursday.
