Mark Zuckerberg gifts century old cup to daughter Max on Shabbat

New York, Sep 16 (IBNS): A father's gift is probably the sweetest to a daughter and if it is something that reminds the family history, gets even more special.

Facebook co-founder, Mark Zuckerberg, gifted his two-year old daughter Max with a century old "kiddush cup" on Shabbat.

Shabbat is Judaism's seventh or the rest day of the week when the religious Jews and certain Christians remember the biblical creation of the heavens and the earth in six days.

Zuckerberg shared a picture on Instagram, where the young entrepreneur was seen to carry his daughter in his arms, who is drinking something from that cup.

The Facebook co-founder said the generations-old cup was brought by Max's great-great-grandfather after Zuckerberg's family immigrated to the US.

Zuckerberg captioned the picture: "For shabbat tonight, we gave Max a kiddush cup that has been in our family for almost 100 years."

"Her great-great-grandfather Max got it after our family immigrated here and it has been passed down through our family ever since," he added.

Zuckerberg, who married his long term girl friend in 2012, is a father of two daughters.

Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan gave birth to their second daughter in 2017.
