Kolkata, Oct 3 (IBNS): US Consul General Craig Hall inaugurated the USIEF-EducationUSA University Fair 2016, hosted by the United States-India Educational Foundation (USIEF), in Kolkata on Saturday.

Representatives from 25 accredited American universities participated in the fair and disseminated detailed information about their institutions and programs.

The universities offered a range of academic programs at the undergraduate, graduate and doctorate levels.

“Education is one of the pillars of US-India people-to-people relations. It is featured in our bilateral discussions at the highest levels including the annual Strategic and Commercial Dialogue and the United States-India Higher Education Dialogue. The commitment by both our governments to collaborate on higher education underscores our shared belief that education is the foundation of the entrepreneurship and innovation that will drive our knowledge economies and growth, and help us meet new challenges. There are immense spin-off benefits from studying abroad as it helps prepare you to become a global citizen,” said Craig Hall while inaugurating the fair.

The Fair was also held in Mumbai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad and New Delhi.
