US Secretary of State Pompeo to visit Georgia November 17-18 - Georgian Foreign Ministry

Tblisi/Sputnik: US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will visit Georgia on November 17-18, the Georgian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Earlier, Pompeo said at a briefing in Washington that he would soon visit France, Turkey, Georgia, Israel, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

"We welcome the visit by US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to Georgia scheduled for November 17-18. As part of the visit, the secretary of state will meet with Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia, President Salome Zurabishvili and Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani. Mike Pompeo will also meet in Tbilisi with Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II," the ministry said.
