Islamabad/UNI: Two Pakistani soldiers were killed when a bomb went off in the northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the military said in a statement.

The Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistani army, said on Tuesday that an improvised explosive device (IED) exploded in the Spinwam area of the North Waziristan district of the province and killed the two soldiers.

The ISPR added that the clearance operation was still in progress to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area.

No group has claimed the attack yet, according to Xinhua news.

The Pakistani security forces remained determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country, the military said.
