Ottawa, Feb 10 (IBNS): Two Canadian girls, who were arrested in Cambodia for allegedly "dancing pornographically", have returned to their country, media reports said.

Eden Kazoleas (19) and Jessica Drolet (26) are among seven who have been released. Both of them are Ottawa residents.

Kazoleas has been traveling since September.

Remembering the days in prison, Kazoleas told CBC News, "It was terrifying. I think the main reason it was so scary is because obviously we didn't speak the native language, so we were often very confused by what was happening."

After returning to Canada, Drolet said that even though it is snow in Canada but "it's still welcoming, and we're just glad to be back with our friends and families".

"I'd like to thank Eden, who was my rock through it all and made things a little bit more bearable," she told CBC News.

In total, 10 foreigners were arrested after a party which was organised in a rented villa in the resort town of Siem Reap.

The police in a release told CTV News that several men and women were seen straddling one another on the floor.

The images of the party were shared on social media before the arrest.

Global Affairs Canada said consular services were delivered to both the detained Canadians.

Apart from the two Canadians, there were five British, one New Zealander, one Norwegian and one from Netherlands among the detained people.

The incident had even struck a massive political and social repercussion in the southeast Asian country, report said.
