Amsterdam, Oct 27 (IBNS): Last week, The Netherlands created history after issuing its first ever gender neutral passport.

It was handed over to 57-year-old Leonne Zeegers.

The passport contains X in its gender designation, as opposed to the traditional M for man or V for woman.

Born as a boy, Zeegers underwent sex change operation in 2001 to become a female but identifies as intersex now.

Gender neutral options in passport can also be availed in Argentina, Australia, Canada, Denmark, India, Malta, Nepal, New Zealand and Pakistan.
