Russia enhances contingent in exercise to take place close to Afghanistan border

Russia has enhanced the number of its military contingent in the  joint trilateral exercises which is scheduled to be held in  Tajikistan this month, just kilometres away from the war-ravaged Afghanistan, media reports said.

The exercise is scheduled to take place between Aug 5 to 10 at Harb-Maidon training ground.

"The size of the Russian military contingent has been increased to participate in joint exercises of units of the armed forces of Russia, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan," the press service of the Central Military District quotes TASS.

The number of military and special equipment has been doubled, reports RT.
