New York: The plane, which was carrying Pakistan PM Imran Khan and the delegation, was rerouted to New York City after it developed technical fault, media reports said on Saturday.

Imran Khan visited the USA this week to attend the UN General Assembly meet.

"According to reports, the minor technical fault was being fixed and there was no cause for concern," reported Geo News.

The Pakistani news channel reported that technical fault of the flight was noticed when it was close to Toronto city.

Sources also confirmed to Geo News that the premier arrived at the hotel from the airport in New York safely and will spend the rest of his time there while efforts are underway to fix the airplane as quickly as possible.

Khan delivered his speech in the UNGA meet on Friday.
