Karachi: The Karachi Union of Journalists demonstrated outside the Supreme Court’s Karachi Registry in Pakistan on Thursday against the ‘abduction’ of senior journalist and columnist Waris Raza.

Raza was reportedly taken away allegedly by law enforcers from his home and later released.

Raza himself attended the rally.

The KUJ demanded action against those responsible for the detention, reports Dawn News.

The media people urged the chief justice of Pakistan to take suo motu notice of the incident. The protesters also asked the top judge to help prevent ‘continuous attacks’ on journalists in the country, the newspaper reported.
