Pakistan: 14 cops killed, 24 injured in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in attacks in last two months

Peshawar, Pakistan: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has said 14 policemen were killed and 24 others were injured during attacks on them in several districts of the northernmost province of Pakistan over the past two months, media reports said on Friday.

Addressing a press conference about the law and order situation, KP government spokesperson Barrister Mohammad Ali Saif was quoted as saying by The Dawn that the attacks on police personnel in several districts were reported.

He said that two policemen were martyred in Dera Ismail Khan and Kohat in attacks on polio teams.

Besides, he told The Dawn, two policemen lost their lives in Peshawar, three in Mardan, one in Hazara, four in Kohat and three in Bannu.

Eight policemen were injured in the provincial capital, one in Mardan, three in Hazara, two in Bannu and 10 in Dera Ismail Khan, he added.
