Lorry-Bus accident in Bangladesh kills 8, injured 30

Dhaka, Feb 26 (IBNS): A bus crashed into a lorry on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Bangladesh's Sonargaon area which left at least eight people killed on Monday, media reports said.

The incident left 30 others injured.

The accident took place in Sonargaon upazila around 1:00pm, The Daily Star reported quoting district Traffic Police Inspector (admin) Molla Taslim Hossain.

Four of the bodies were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, Bachchu Mia, the sub-inspector in-charge of the hospital’s police outpost, told The Daily Star.

The injured people were rushed to different hospitals for treatment.

The identities of the deceased people are not known so far.
