Islamabad, Sept 2 (IBNS): Pakistan's new PM Imran Khan on Sunday launched one-day tree plantation campaign across the nation.

Khan launched the drive by planting a sapling in Haripur city of the country.

Khan was accompanied by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan.

He also took part in the drive.

As per Geo News report, the Plant for Pakistan is part of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)  government’s billion tree Tsunami 2018 drive.

Khan urged people to join the Green Pakistan drive.

Speaking on the drive, Imran Khan tweeted: "Today we launch our tree plantation drive #Plant4Pakistan across the entire country. I want everyone to join this #GreenPakistan drive so we can counter the twin threats of climate change and pollution confronting our future generations."
