A Hindu girl was recently abducted and forcefully married to her kidnappers in the Mirpurkhas area of Pakistan, media reports said.

The victim was identified as Rajita Kolhi.

Despite her statement in the court, expressing her desire to be with her family, the additional session judge decided to send her to Darul Aman, the so-called safe house, reported ANI.

"Mirpurkhas Sindh A Hindu girl, Rajita Kolhi, was forcibly sent to Dar al-Aman The Hindu girl, who was a victim of marriage after abduction, gave a tatement to the court to go with her heirs, but the additional session judge sent the girl to Darul Aman.  With the Hindu community, the law may be different," wrote Shiva Kachhi, Co-Chairman and founder of Minority Rights Organisation, on X platform.

In another post, he wrote: "A Hindu girl Rajeeta Kolhi who was abducted and married after conversion says that she was abducted by Ashiq Ahmadani and his accomplices from my house in Badin district of New Dambalu. I want to go with my parents, I must be protected, my life is in danger. I could be kidnapped or killed again."

Reacting to the incident, an activist Amar Sindhu said: "The terrorist court. A Hindu girl abducted by Aashiq Ahmedani, he produced his nikahnama in court whereas girl said she was kidnapped. She clearly said she wants to go with parents but court sent her to Safe house. She is crying on decision and didn't want to go safe house."

Lakhu Luhana, general secretary of World Sindhi Congress told ANI, “The Chair of the World Sindhi Congress has expressed our deep trauma upon witnessing the heart-wrenching videos of Rajita Kolhi. She was forcibly abducted and, when presented in court, expressed her desire to return to her parents. Despite her cries and pleas, the judge sent her to a so-called safe house”.

“This represents the brutal reality of forced conversions of Sindhi Hindu girls in Pakistan. We earnestly request the international community to assist us in rescuing the daughters of Sindh,” he said.
