Dubai: Fire strikes another tower, no injury reported

Dubai, Aug 6 (IBNS): The fire which broke out at a high-rise tower in Dubai has been brought under control.

Fire service rushed to the spot and brought the flames under control quickly.

No injuries have been reported so far in the fire that broke out at Tiger Tower.

"Dubai Civil Defence has put out a minor fire which started on a balcony of Tiger Tower in the Marina. No injuries were reported," Dubai Media Office‏ tweeted.

The incident occurred just days after fire broke out at a residential skyscraper in Dubai.

The incident broke out on Thursday night as footage posted on social media showed fire spreading upwards the Torch Tower.

The reason for the blaze is yet to be ascertained.

The Torch Tower is considered the sixth tallest residential building in the world.

Opened in 2011, the skyscraper was partly damaged by a similar blaze in 2015.
