China: 8 die after fire breaks out in vegetable market

At least eight people died and 15 others were injured after a fire broke out in a vegetable market in China's Hebei Province on Saturday.

The market is located in Qiaoxi district.

Fighters and other emergency service providers rushed to the spot after the fire broke out.

 The open flames were extinguished by 10:10 am, and the rescue work was completed by 12:50 pm, Global Times reported quoting local government statement.

The injured people were rushed to hospital.

According to reports, the injured people are currently out of danger.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
