Calgary, May 1 (IBNS): A body has been found inside the wall of a shopping mall washroom in Calgary, media reports said.

Police have started investigation into the matter.

In a statement issued by the Calgary Police Service, any foul play in the whole incident has been ruled out.

The statement reads, "Despite the circumstances of where the body was located, investigators do not suspect foul play and the death remains classified as undetermined."

Police confirmed that the person is male but the identity is yet to be known.

The cause of the death is still unknown.

Police told CTV News that the body was found by a maintenance worker who removed the wall in the fourth floor of the washroom to examine a flushing mechanism.

Calgary Police spokesperson has been quoted by CTV, "If you were to look at the toilet, there's a panel behind it, so that when people move it would automatically flush."

"When they removed that panel, they found a deceased person behind that wall."

The Calgary Police statement further read, "The investigation into when the victim died and how he ended up inside the wall is still ongoing."
