Bologna: Truck explodes on a motorway near airport

Bologna, Aug 6 (IBNS): A tanker exploded on a motorway near Bologna Airport in Italy on Monday, media reports said.

"Police said a crash caused the explosion in the Borgo Panigale district of the north Italian city," reported Evening Standard.

Several video footage of the incident is currently going viral on social media where a huge ball of fire could be seen shooting into the sky.

Dark smoke could be seen engulfing the area, as the videos footages from the scene.

The explosion occurred close to the airport. 

"Local police said it was an accident on a motorway that caused the blast, but exact details weren’t immediately available," The Metro reported.

No casualty has been reported so far.
