Dhaka, Apr 13 (IBNS): As the country is gearing up for the Bengali New Year celebrations,  some activists of a faction of Bangladesh Chhatra League set the stage set for the Poila Boisakh festivity on Dhaka University campus, media reports said on Saturday.

13 refrigerators were reportedly vandalised by the attackers.

The incident occurred between 12:45am and 1:00am at Mol Chattar in DU today, reported The Daily Star.

Newly elected Vice President of Dhaka University Central Students' Union (Ducsu) Nurul Haque Nur was quoted as saying by the newspaper, “Chhatra League men have usually been involved in such incidents on the campus.  And Chhatra League activists are involved this time too.”

He said those involved in the incident should be identified.

Dhaka University's Proctor AKM Golam Rabbani  told The Daily Star they have started looking into the matter.
