Afghanistan: Security forces arrest two Pakistani nationals affiliated with ISIS

Kabul/IBNS: Afghanistan security forces have arrested two Pakistani nationals who were affiliated with the Islamic State terror group, media reports said on Tuesday.

According to a statement released by 201st Silab Corps, the Afghan Special Forces conducted an operation based on a tip off in Behsud district of Nangarhar province, Khaama Press reported.

The statement further added that the Special Forces arrested two Pakistani nationals who were fighting for ISIS terrorist group, reported the news agency.

The detained people were identified as Asghar alias Zarif Jan and Faridullah alias Shakir.

According to media reports, security forces have confiscated an Ak-47 assault rifle, 5 cell phones, some munitions and Pakistani identity cards from them.

No terror group has commented on the issue so far.
