Afghanistan: Gunmen storm office of Save the Children, 11 injured

Kabul, Jan 24 (IBNS): At least 11 people were injured as gunmen stormed the office of Save the Children in Jalalabad area of Afghanistan on Wednesday, media reports said.

Attaullah Khogyani, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the bomb attack happened in the 3rd police district of the city at around 9am.

Armed clash is reportedly going on between the attackers and militants.

Suicide bombing left 11 people hurt.

One eyewitness named Mohammad Asif told Pajhwok Afghan News the attackers detonated there explosives before entered the building.

The area has been cordoned off by security forces.
