Leonid Radvinsky, the reclusive owner of OnlyFans, has died at the age of 43 following a prolonged battle with cancer, the company confirmed on Monday.

“We are deeply saddened to announce the death of Leo Radvinsky. He passed away peacefully after a long illness,” an OnlyFans spokesperson said in a statement cited by Reuters, adding that his family has requested privacy.

A Ukrainian-born American entrepreneur, Radvinsky acquired Fenix International Limited in 2018, becoming the majority shareholder and a key figure behind the platform’s rapid global growth.

Founded in 2016 by British entrepreneur Tim Stokely, OnlyFans rose to prominence during the COVID-19 pandemic, as lockdowns drove millions of users and creators online.

The subscription-based platform became a dominant force in the adult content industry under Radvinsky’s ownership.

Beyond OnlyFans, Radvinsky was also the founder of the adult webcam platform MyFreeCams and operated a venture capital fund launched in 2009, focusing primarily on technology investments.

Despite his immense wealth and influence, Radvinsky maintained a notably low public profile. His illness was not publicly known until his death.

According to a report by The Wall Street Journal, he was also a significant philanthropist, particularly in healthcare.

In 2024, Radvinsky and his wife supported a $23 million cancer research grant through a gastrointestinal research foundation.

His death marks the end of a quiet but impactful career in the digital economy, leaving behind a platform that reshaped online content monetization.
