Varun Dhawan-starrer October earns 5.04 crore on opening day

Mumbai, Apr 14 (IBNS): Varun Dhawan starrer Bollywood film October has earned 5.04 crore on the opening day at the Indian box office on Friday.

Film critic Taran Adarsh said the film had a slow start.

Adarsh tweeted, "#October has a slow start... Biz will have to witness miraculous growth over the weekend + maintain a strong trend on weekdays to leave a mark... Word of mouth is extremely mixed... Fri ₹ 5.04 cr. India biz."

The film has released in 1683 screens in India and 625 overseas.

Apart from Varun, October stars Banita Sandhu in one of the lead roles.

The film has been directed by Shoojit Sircar,
