'Succession' and 'Schitt's Creek' win big at 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards

Los Angels/Xinhua: "Succession" and "Schitt's Creek" won top awards at the 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday night, picking up outstanding drama series and outstanding comedy series, respectively.

The event was held virtually for the first time in the history of Emmy Awards due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Jimmy Kimmel hosted the ceremony from a nearly empty Staples Center in U.S. city of Los Angeles while nominees watched remotely from their homes around the world.
