Happy Memories: Swara Bhaskar responds sarcastically to tweet on Kangana's alleged 'tantrums and abuse to outsider'

New Delhi/IBNS: Actress Swara Bhaskar weaponised sarcasm in a tweet to respond to her 'Tanu Weds Manu' co-star Kangana Ranaut's recent remarks about her and Taapsee Pannu on nepotism in the Bollywood film industry.

In a tweet tagging actress Swara, a netizen pointed out that why Kangana threw tantrums on the set of 'Tanu Weds Manu Returns' and abused an outsider just because the latter was lauded by the director.

In response to the same, Swara wrote: #SupportMax by reigning national award winning outsider-star to “needy- outsider” ! Circa 2014. Sigh! Such happymemories Purple heartPurple heartPurple heartPurple heartTulipTulipTulipTulip @teamkangana."

Swara Bhaskar and Kanagan Ranaut's team have been constantly engaged in a war of words on Twitter ever since the latter in an interview over nepotism in the Bollywood film industry had said she understands actresses like 'Taapsee Pannu and Swara Bhaskar have bills to pay.'

The entire debate on nepotism was triggered by Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide which according to Kangana was a result of favouritism in the B-Town and unfair attitude meted out to the 34-year-old actor.

Besides slamming the Bollywood biggies as responsible for the extreme step that Sushant took, Kangana had targeted some other actresses including Taapsee and Swara who also do not have any lineage in Bollywood.

Kangana told PinkVilla, "It is so sad. I do not know what to say because I have been in their place. People who come from outside, I have said it in my earlier interviews as well, we [outsiders] do not have the comfort of our parents’ houses. I am not Anil Kapoor or Mahesh Bhatt’s daughter.

"Or when you talk about Swara Bhasker, Taapsee Pannu or Richa Chadha, I understand they have bills to pay for their house; everybody is not and doesn’t want to live the kind of life I aspire. So, I do understand where they’re coming from and there are a lot of pressures."

Swara had then responded in a tweet stating: "I’m managing everything by selling my needy soul.. except my pet food.. pls someone pls contribute? Dog faceCrying cat face."

Earlier in a television interview, she had even referred to them as "needy outsiders" and "B-grade actresses."

Kangana during her interview to Republic TV had said: "I only have to lose here, because tomorrow they (referring to the 'movie mafia') will get some 20 needy outsiders like Taapsee Pannu and Swara Bhasker who will say 'oh only Kangana has a problem with Karan Johar, but we love Karan Johar.' If you love Karan Johar, why are you both B-grade actresses? You are better looking than Alia Bhatt and Ananya, you both are better actresses, why don't you get work? Your existence is a proof of nepotism. What are you telling me how happy you are with this industry?"

Swara, who shared screen space with Kangana in Aanand L Rai's 'Tanu Weds Manu' and its sequel, had responded back with a sarcasm then too tweeting: " -Needy outsider- B grade actress (But) - better looking & better actor than Alia Bhatt & Ananya!” Nerd faceNerd face Net net I think this was a compliment! Smiling face with heart-shaped eyes???????? Thanks Kangana! I think u are gorgeous, generous & a great actor ! Shine on SunflowerSunflowerStar-struckStar-struck."
