Filmmaker Kevin Smith survives massive heart attack

Los Angeles, Feb 26 (IBNS):  Filmmaker Kevin Smith on Monday announced that he had almost died by suffering a 'massive heart attack' if he had not rushed to a hospital on Sunday.

The director also shared an image of himself lying in hospital bed.

He shared the information on Twitter.

"After the first show this evening, I had a massive heart attack. The Doctor who saved my life told me I had 100% blockage of my LAD artery (aka “the Widow-Maker”). If I hadn’t canceled show 2 to go to the hospital, I would’ve died tonight. But for now, I’m still above ground!," he tweeted.

Smith came to prominence with the low-budget comedy film Clerks (1994), which he wrote, directed, co-produced, and acted in as the character Silent Bob of stoner duo Jay and Silent Bob.
