Woman molested in Kolkata pub, assaulted when protests

Kolkata, Apr 3 (IBNS): A woman was allegedly molested by at least four men in a posh night club in Kolkata's Park Street area on Saturday midnight, reports said on Monday.

According to reports, the woman along with her husband went to a pub, M Bar and Kitchen, at Park Street area under Shakespeare Sarani Police Station limits in south part of the city on Saturday midnight.

Four men allegedly molested the woman there and also beat her and her husband when they had protested against it.

The woman claimed that bouncers of the night club rescued them from the attackers.

The couple lodged a complaint at local Shakespeare Sarani Police Station on Sunday.

However, police have started investigation into the matter, while none has been arrested in connection with the case so far.
