WB: Police bust another illegal arms factory in South 24 Parganas

Kolkata/South 24 Parganas, Oct 2 (IBNS): A police team on Sunday unearthed the third illegal firearms factory in South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal and recovered large number of weapons, reports said.

According to reports, acting on a tip off, police conducted raid in a suspected house at New Panchur Mollahpara area under Rabindra Nagar Police Station limits in South 24 Parganas.

As many as 30 firearms, including few 9mm and 7pm pistols, a huge cache of ammunition, raw materials used for making bullets and pistols and few machines were seized from the house.

After booking the house's owner, police have started investigation into the case, officials said.

Earlier on Sept 28 and 7, two more illegal firearms factories were busted Baruipur and Rabindra Nagar areas respectively in the same district.
