Kolkata, Nov 18 (IBNS): West Bengal sports and transport minister Madan Mitra on Wednesday evening resigned from his post and sent his resignation letter to the chief minister, reports said.
According to reports, WB chief minister Mamata Banerjee accepted his resignation letter and has been sent to Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi for final approval.

Meanwhile, the final hearing on the CBI's appeal for cancellation of Madan Maitra's bail, which was granted by the Alipore Court on Oct 31, will be held on Thursday.
