WB CM leaves administrative meetings for less progress in work

Purulia/Bankura, Apr 4 (IBNS): While touring various districts of the state, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee left the administrative meeting over her dissatisfaction for less progress in work, on Wednesday, media reports.

Though Mamata has already presided more than 100 administrative meetings in the state since 2011, this is the first occasion where she left it citing the reason of poor work progress.

The CM stated to media that she was compelled to leave the meeting because majority of works of the state government including Kanyashree, Shabuj Sathi were not carried out well.

Apart from the administrative meeting, Mamata was present to address public gathering in Bankura where she attacked Bharatiya Janata Party for spreading communalism on the day when the saffron party celebrated Ram Navami festival on a widespread basis.

The TMC chief also criticised BJP for using 'Om' in their party flags during rallies which is a sacred symbol of Hindu religion.

"They cannot use 'Om' in their party flags. It is not their symbol. If they want to use then must go to Election Commission" she said.

Reiterating the words that she said in Jhargram on Tuesday, Mamata urged people of Bankura to be aware of all religious provocations, hinting at BJP's communal politics.

Later in the day, BJP state President was caught saying foul words related to the festival.
