WB cabinet reshuffle: Mamata Banerjee takes charge of finance ministry, Amit Mitra made advisor to CM

Kolkata/IBNS: As a part of her cabinet reshuffle on Tuesday, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee kept to herself the finance ministry and appointed Amit Mitra as Principal Chief Advisor to the CM.

The cabinet reshuffle will take effect immediately.

Pulak Ray has been made the Panchayat Affairs Minister after the demise of party veteran Subrata Mukherjee.

Manas Bhuniya took charge of Consumer Affairs, while Becharam Manna became Minister of State for Panchayat.

While Chandrima Bhattacharya was made Minister of State for Finance, former Finance Minister Amit Mitra became State Finance Advisor.
