On Friday, a division bench comprising Chief Justice A.M. Khanvilkar and Justice Alok Aradhe, gave the go ahead to the STF to initiate necessary action against the dignitary after the Special Investigation Team (SIT) monitoring the investigation into the scam, submitted two sealed envelopes.

The first envelope contained the name of a high-ranking dignitary while the second contained the status report of the STF investigation into the scam.
