Uttar Pradesh: Police files FIR for draping body of farmer with National Flag

Pilibhit/UNI: Uttar Pradesh police have lodged FIR against a mother and brother of a deceased ,who died during the farmers agitation in New Delhi recently for covering the body with National Flag.

The 30-year-old Baljinder was killed in a road mishap on January 25 in Delhi during the farmer agitation and later his family members covered his body with a national flag during his funeral on Thursday last.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Jai Prakash Yadav said here on Friday that FIR has been lodged at Sehramau police station under several section of the IPC on insult of the national flag against the mother, brother of the deceased along with another unidentified.

Police said the deceased went missing on January 24 but died in an accident on January 25. But the family members got to know about his death on February 2. They brought the body from mortuary in Ghaziabad on February 3 and the funeral procession was taken out from their home to cremation ground with body wrapped with the national flag.
