UP BJP vice president uses derogatory language to comment on Mayawati

New Delhi/Lucknow, Jul 20 (IBNS): Dayashankar Singh, Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP's) vice-president in Uttar Pradesh used abusive language on Wednesday while commenting on Mayawati, the former Uttar Pradesh chief and Bahujan Samaj party (BSP) chief, according to media reports.
Posted NDTV: In comments that are too offensive to be produced verbatim, Mr Singh said: "Mayawati is selling tickets...She is such a big leader, a three-time chief minister...but she gives ticket (to contest) to anyone who gives her Rs. 1 crore. If someone comes with 2 crores, she gives him a ticket. If somebody gives her 3 crores, she cancels the tickets of the previous candidates and chooses him. Today her character is worse than that of a prostitute."

BSP chief Mayawati retorted by saying that the BJP is frustrated at the growing strength of BSP in Uttar Pradesh, media reported.

While talking to NDTV, Shaina NC, the BJP spokesperson, also condemned the remark.
