UP: 933 fresh cases of COVID-19 takes total to 28,636

Lucknow/UNI: With 933 fresh cases recorded on Monday, the total COVID-19 cases in Uttar Pradesh has touched 28,636.

State Additional Chief Secretary Home Awanish Awasthi said here that there are 8,718 active cases in the state while the number of recovered patients have reached 19,109, including 348, who were released from the hospital on Monday.

He said the death toll also reached 809 with 24 fresh casualties.

Awasthi said on Sunday that the labs in the state went for testing of 25,918 samples.
