New Delhi, Sept 17 (IBNS) A delegation of the Naga people from Manipur representing the Unified Naga Council on Wednesday called on the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh here.

The delegation expressed their concern about the Naga tribes in Manipur and their earlier participation in economic blockades in the state.

They also thanked the Government of India for assuring them to look into their grievances sympathetically.

The Home Minister informed the delegation that the Government of India is fully committed to solve their problem in a time-bound manner, but there is no scope for any violence.

The Government is ceased of the aspirations, sentiments and views of the Naga people and has appointed R.N. Ravi as Interlocutor and Government’s representative for recommending a suitable solution.
