Under-construction bridge collapses in Bihar, video goes viral on social media

Sultanganj: A portion of an under-construction bridge has collapsed in Bihar on Sunday.

The bridge is being constructed over River Ganges which is connecting Aguvanighat and Sultanganj  in the state.

A video of the incident was caught on camera and it has now gone viral on social media.

The segment on three pillars also collapsed and fell into the rival. The area lies under Parvatta police station area in Khagaria district of Bihar, reports Hindustan Times.

Local administration reached the spot after the incident.

No casualty or injury has been reported so far.

Bhagalpur SDO Dhananjay Kumar was quoted as saying by the newspaper,"We have received information about the collapse of pillar and segment. The incident pertains to Parvatta. We have spoken to the engineers involved in the construction of the bridge. As of now, there is no report of loss of life and property."
