TMCP's group tussle injures 12 in West Bengal university

Kolkata/Malda, Dec 5 (IBNS): At least 12 students were injured during a clash between two rival groups of state's ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC)'s student wing Trinamool Chhatra Parishad (TMCP) at University of Gour Banga campus in West Bengal's Malda district on Monday, reports said.

According to reports, activists of two TMCP groups engaged in a tussle with each other in the afternoon.

At least 12 students were injured in the incident and rushed to a nearby hospital.

A heavy police force rushed to the scene and brought the situation under control.

Till the last update came in, no complaint has been lodged at local English Bazar Police Station and none has been held so far in connection with the clash.

Local TMC leaders refused to speak on the matter.
