Tamil Nadu BJP chief Soundarajan nominates PM Modi for Nobel Peace Prize

Chennai, Sept 25 (IBNS): Tamil Nadu Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Tamilisai Soundarajan has nominated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the Nobel Peace Prize, media reports said.

Soundarajan nominated Modi for launching world's largest healthcare system, Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana- Ayushman Bharat.

In a press release, Soundarajan said as she has been quoted by Economic Times,"This path-breaking initiative of visionary Prime Minister Modi will transform the lives of millions of people especially the underprivileged and vulnerable."

She also urged others to join her in nominating the Prime Minister for Nobel Peace Prize.

Soundarajan said the main cause of poverty in the country is the healthcare expenditure for tertiary and secondary care.
